This is a quick overview on how to create Machinima in Second Life without spending any money.
What you will need:
- Hitfilm 4 Express – Click here to Download
- Windows 10 – Game DVR/ XBOX APP
Download Hitfilm
Setting Up Game DVR Controlled from within the Xbox app
1. Click the settings button
2. Go to game DVR tag
Make sure that Record game clips and screenshots with game DVR is turned on.
Recording hotkeys
- Windows logo key+G: Open the Game bar
- Windows logo key+Alt+G: Record the last few moments of gameplay (You can change the amount of time recorded in Game bar > Settings.)
- Windows logo key+Alt+R: Start/stop recording
- Windows logo key+Alt+Print Screen: Take a screenshot of your game
- Windows logo key+Alt+T: Show/hide the recording timer
- Windows logo key+Alt+M: Start/stop microphone recording

MAKE SURE THAT THE GAME IS RUNNING INSIDE OF A WINDOW
1.Check preferences turn off name tags
2. Use CTRL+ ALT +F1 to hide SL interface
When you are ready to record:
- Windows logo key+Alt+R: Start/stop recording
